Receive ONT and Swap for ONG
ONT and ONG are needed for participation in Ontology Node Staking. ONT is used to be staked to earn ONG. ONG is used to pay transaction fees of staking.
On Assets page, click on "ONT" to open ONT asset page, then click on "Receive" to open "Receive ONT" page. Click on "Copy" to copy the address or scan the QR code to send ONT to this address.
The way of receiving ONG is the same as that of ONT.
Another way to have ONG is to swap ONT for ONG. On ONT asset page, click on Swap button on the top right corner, then enter 1-9 integral number you would like to swap, then click on "Swap Now", and then enter password and confirm to complete the process.
Create and Confirm Stake
Step 1: Select a Node
On ONT asset page, click on the bottom left corner to open Node staking page.
To switch node, click on node name below "Current Node" to open Select node page. Node names are by default ordered by estimated APY. Click on "Sort" to switch to ordered by Total Stake amount. The 15 nodes with the highest total stake amount are Consensus nodes, and "Consensus" is marked on the right side of these node names.
Step 2: Enter Stake Amount and Confirm Stake
On Node staking page, enter stake ONT amount and click on "Stake now", then click on next button to proceed, then enter password and then confirm to complete the process.
Claim ONG and Check My Stake
On Node staking page, the current claimable ONG amount is displayed below "Claimable staking rewards". Click on "Claim" button on the bottom left corner to withdraw ONG.
Click on "My stake" on the top right corner to check details of your stake. If created and confirmed in round ‘T’ Cycle, the status of the stake will be "Processing" in the round ‘T’ and "Staked" in the round ‘T+1’ and start to generate ONG rewards.
Cancel Stake
Click on the “Cancel stake” button on “My stake” page to cancel stake.
If the stake status is processing, users will be able to withdraw staked ONT right away after the cancellation.
If the stake status is staked and the cancellation occurs in the round ‘T’ Cycle, (1) staking on non-Consensus node, users will be able to withdraw ONT at the beginning of the round ‘T+1’. (2) If staking on Consensus node, users will be able to withdraw ONT at the beginning of the round ‘T+2’.
