Transfer ONG

  • On Ontology blockchain, there are two forms of addresses: Ontology address (starting with A), Ontology EVM address (starting with 0x)

  • Below is an example of Ontology address (starting with A) and an example of Ontology EVM address (starting with 0x)

  • Voting requires ONG on Ontology EVM address (starting with 0x)

  • Use Ontology Bridge to transfer ONG from A address to 0x address

  • Click on "Transfer to Ontology (EVM)" on the asset details page of ONG to open Ontology Bridge website

  • Click on "Connect Wallet" at the upper right of the Ontology Bridge website, select ONTO Web in the pop-up window

  • Select Non-EVM as sending wallet

  • Enter an Ontology EVM address (starting with 0x) as a receiver

  • Enter an amount, then click on the "Transfer" button

  • The transactions fee will be 0.05 ONG (paid by the address starting with A)

Set ONTO as Default Wallet

  • Click on the profile picture, and then click on "Settings"

  • Click on the switch button on the right of "Set ONTO as default wallet"

Vote

  • Log in / Sign up with Github or Email

  • Click on the "Vote" button of your favourite projects

  • Click on "MetaMask" to connect wallet (ONTO Web wallet will be connected as default wallet)

  • Select the Ontology EVM wallet to connect

  • Enter a number of votes and confirm

  • Note that according to the voting rules, the Nth vote towards the same project will cost N*1 ONG, so if you’re going to give 3 votes to the same project, you need to pay 1+2+3=6 ONG. If you give 3 votes to 3 different projects, you need to pay 1+1+1=3 ONG.

  • ONG used for votes won't be returned to voters

  • Please prepare sufficient ONG as transaction fee (the balance required would be about 0.6 ONG, the transaction fee actually consumed would be about 0.4-0.5 ONG)
